Igbo Figure

This charming, seated figure is from the Igbo of Nigeria. The carved wood is painted with white and black pigment. He holds in his left hand a metal prestige sword and a small hat tops his head. There is some part of the brim missing. It measures 9.5"h. by 3.5"w. and dates to the first half of the 20th c. It sells for $1800.00
