Gobe Board

This old ancestral board (Gope) is from Wapo Creek of thePapuan Gulf area of New Guinea. The surface shows the remains of red, white and black pigment and the central design element shows the typical ambiguity found on pieces from this area. It dates to the mid 20thc. and measures 52" l. by 13" w. and sells for $5000.00
