Coconut Shell Whistle

This carved coconut is from the islands in the Massim Area and is used as a whistle when blown across the hole at the top. The remains of white pigment allows the design to show. The surface has a lovely, worn patina. This whistle dates to the mid-20th century. It measures 4" high by 3 1/2" diameter and sells for $500.00
