Akan Vessel



This terra cotta funerary vessel is from the Akan/Ashanti of Ghana and dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The top portion of the pot has incised linear designs with three frogs. The stopper is surmounted by a chicken form. There is a small hole on one side. It measures 6" in diameter by 10" high and sells for $2000.00
