I have been collecting since 1970 and have owned and directed a tribal art gallery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for six years. My interest is always in finding the most expressive and ritually used pieces. I am guided by my training in the creative arts field, having received a BA and MFA, and by my experience in handling and studying tribal art over the years. I am particularly interested in textiles and woven artifacts and have collected wonderful examples, especially from Africa.  I have lectured on this subject and have appraised and consulted for the museums and private collectors in the Philadelphia area.
