Abelam Mouth Masks



These two mouth masks called karahouts come from the Abelam area of New Guinea. They are made of woven fiber and nasa shells painted with red, ochre and black pigment. Boar's tusks are knotted into the top. Each has cowrie shells at the bottom. They measure 11" high and 13" high and come with custom bases. Each one sells for $850.00
